Come in. Find yourself in a small bar atmosphere despite the bigger space. It’s hard to miss the influences – metals, woods and décor from microbreweries, classic cocktail lounges, dive bars and naturally, the good old Aussie pub.
It’s a bar! In a brewery! We call it The Brewery Bar!
Sitting on the site of Moon Dog’s original brewery, and with our first brewing kit still sitting behind the bar and bubbling away making new beers, The Brewery Bar is our idea of what a great bar should be: a laid-back, relaxing space full of comfy couches, palm trees, a retractable roof for summer, and killer tunes on the stereo.
With 10 taps to choose from, including a bunch of rotating taps, featuring everything from regular favourites like Old Mate and Love Tap to seasonal beers, single kegs, there’s something here for everyone. We also have plenty of not beers — cider, wine, spirits, and grouse cocktails. And don’t forget our world-famous pizza van, serving up tasty circular treats whenever the bar is open.

“Let’s say you’ve just gotten your trivia team together for the first time – where do you start playing? At the National, that’s where. It’s a small-scale trivia night run by the Funky Bunch with a mix of traditional, audio and visual questions as well as the odd physical challenge. The relaxed atmosphere lets you get a feel for pub trivia without the stress of 15 competing teams. Don’t worry, if you’re a seasoned trivia player there are still challenging questions – including a devilishly hard music round that will stump anyone who doesn’t have an encyclopaedic knowledge.”
